About the Hideaway on Empire

Known in Bend as the local’s joint for food, sports and great drinks, the Hideaway has been a staple in the community for more than a decade. Hoping to bring this next-level sports bar experience to Bend’s hard-working north side, the Hideaway Empire is the newest addition to the Hideaway experience, located off Boys Acres Road and Lancaster in Bend, Oregon, and offering gourmet cocktails, innovative weekend brunch menu, local’s favorites on a lunch and dinner menu (offered daily), and nearly two dozen TVs playing every sports channel on earth (including NFL Sunday Ticket, Big 10 Network, Pac 12 Network, NHL and UFC). Combine that with 20 local and domestic beers and ciders on tap, an inspired cocktail menu, the best multi-screen sports viewing experience in town, and “Bend’s Best Bloody Mary” (23-ounce The Proud Mary or Game Changer Bloody Mary) and you’ve found a local hangout destination with a casual, family-friendly and food-forward approach!

When Bend locals need a place that’s relaxing and fun to blow off steam after a long day at work, they avoid the “seen and be seen” scene of Bend’s west-side. John Wayne Burger

Our ½ pound house-ground patty, bacon, pepper jack cheese, onion rings and housemade BBQ sauce, on a pretzel bun.

Buffalo Wings

Beer braised and fried, served with house bleu cheese, carrots, and celery.

Nachos Carnitas

House braised pork, refried beans and housemade queso over a plate of warm corn chips. Topped with chipotle sauce, sour cream, four cheese blend, fresh cilantro, pickled jalapeños and salsa.

Buffalo Cauliflower

Flash fried florets tossed in housemade buffalo sauce, served with our bleu-cheese dressing.

The Chuck Norris Pizza

Italian sausage, sopressata, pepperoni, and ham on an arrabbiata and four cheese base with fresh roma tomatoes and housemade fresh mozzarella.

Buffalo Mac and Cheese

Five cheese, grilled chicken and our Buffalo sauce. Topped with crisp panko flakes, bleu crumbles and green onion.

We have weekly specials and a full breakfast menu Saturday and Sunday that will challenge your taste buds with unique combinations inspired by fresh ingredients.

A great sports viewing bar! Besides the usual bar and table areas, they have rows of leather couches on one side with multiple TVs on the wall. The food was good, but the “small pizza” was big enough for 2 or 3 people. The John Wayne burger had big onion rings on it. Service was attentive and customers were welcoming.

Food was amazing!! We stopped by for lunch, the menu had something for everyone, even my 3 picky teenagers. I ordered the portabella burger w/ GF bun, hands down best burger in ver ever had!! Obviously, I should have taken the photo prior to demolishing the plate. The portions sizes were huge too which was great for the teenage boy. When we arrived it was super busy and only had one waitress, this didn’t matter. The service was great. I would recommend stopping in anytime!!

Service was awesome, and the food was amazing. The only complaint I have is about the flies, but I also can’t blame them for wanting to be around. It’s a great place to catch up on sports, it’s easy to get to, and the staff is wonderful. I highly recommend!
